They butcher the Psalter and canticles with inclusive language for God that makes the reading awkward and strange at times. The psalter is selective and does not cover all psalms in the RCL which is annoying but I know this came out before the RCL. The hymn selection at times is terrible. Yes they include most of the well known classics but a lot of the others are just not good at all. Given the treasures of Methodist hymnody, they could have done a much better job at selection.
This is in very good shape and cost half what a new one would. Very happy with purchase.
Ordered a used hymnal so I could have a good collection of Christmas music from which to play. The Hymnal came exactly as described: it was slightly loved with some worn corners and scuffs, but all the pages are in great condition. I'm very happy with the book I received.
I chose this particular (second-hand) hymnal because I wanted one that was in good condition, but not new and too tight so that it would stay open on the piano or organ. This one was in excellent condition and I am very happy with it. Thank you!
