In a world full of self-help books masking themselves as Bible studies Kim Cash Tate's theologically sound, deeply personal and well written "Cling" is a must read.Her years as an attorney are clearly evident. Every point Kim makes is backed up by scripture, point by point. She is not giving her opinion about the matter, she is appealing directly to God's word and what He says while making a case for why and how to draw closer to God.I love the way she deftly handled the sticky issue of election with grace and humor. And, she does an excellent job of explaining the "nuts and bolts" of inductive Bible study.Not everyone can find that Titus 2 woman to walk along beside her and show her •how• to draw closer to the Lord. By sharing her heart and what the Word says Kim has mapped out a blueprint to assist and mentor those trying to understand how to draw closer to God.
I love the way Kim writes! It's colorful, engaging, scripturally accurate and honest. I've never read her fiction pieces, but I will. Cling is among one of my favorites for this season of my life. Challenges around every corner, yet Cling reminds me to hold on to what I've known since becoming a believer years ago: God is faithful, He will not leave me, He has a plan and All things work together...No matter what is going on in my life, my quiet intimate time with God cannot be sacrificed. I have been a fan of Kim Cash Tate for over a year now, learning of her through her YouTube platform. "Cling" is the first book that I have read by her, and I am very glad I picked it up. I was searching for a book that would help encourage me toward a lifestyle of intimacy with Christ, and when this came along, I knew I had to read it. I absolutely love the fact that Kim does not claim to be an expert on intimacy with God, as she points out in her chapter on prayer: that it was not a how-to on praying. Yet, she illustrates effectively through words not the "what", but HOW prayer has changed her. The title is "Cling," and this book never deviates from that theme of clinging to God. I love the vast amount of scripture used in this book and how it pointed me toward the Bible, not toward imitating an authors life. This book will give you a whole new perspective on the Word cling. Can't wait to pick up some of her Fiction.
Easy to read and understand our relationship to God. It reveals the many times we "cling" to the Savior as we live each day. Never knew "cling" was used so many times in the Bible until I started this Bible Study. I would encourage anyone who needs encouragement to seek out this book.
I have been a fan of Kim Cash Tate's fiction for years (check out her awesome fiction books if you have not already done so!) and loved her challenging, insightful, and faith-deepening YouTube Bible studies, so I was thrilled when she wrote a Bible study. Kim is genius at taking nuggets of faith, in this case CLINGING to God, and expounding on those nuggets in ways that deepen readers' walks with God and inspire them to put Him above all else. She is never preachy or condescending.....Kim is right there on the rocky road of Christian life with the rest of us, but she has a gift for making Scripture and Biblical truths accessible. I learn so much through her teachings (even in her fiction books), and Cling offers new insights into familiar Bible stories and characters. Every claim Kim makes is backed up by numerous Scripture references and this book will make you want to cling to God always - in every stage of life and daily circumstance - not just in the "hard times". Thank you, Kim, for putting one of your amazing Bible studies into paperback form so I can write in it, highlight in it, and refer to it always as I seek to grow closer to God. Read this book - it will uplift and challenge you, and you will not be disappointed!
As I always have, I thoroughly enjoyed this guide and study. The author truly has the gift of teaching and breaking down the Word of our God. She is an encourager and has motivated me to get into the Word many times. She is a blessing to the body.
Really good book. Writer keeps your interest by using many of her own life examples that are relevant and the message is right on target. Should be a good read for anyone who wants to deepen their relationship with Christ.
I love this book. I am learning so much spiritually about having a relationship with God. Things that I thought I knew about God on an intimate level are being revealed within every page of this book along with reading my bible everyday!
