Love this book. I've been playing Bridge for about five years. Mr. Lawrence is a great Bridge teacher and writer. (I bought the book before it was on Amazon). Clear writing and examples. Helps with logic and what's going on at the Bridge table. Is more up to date than a lot of older instruction books which is helpful since Bridge keeps evolving with new conventions and methods.
I’m an advanced intermediate player and love all Mike Lawrence books. Very good explanations as to what the options are and how to exercise good judgement, mostly as to bidding. Many great tips and easy to understand.
Good for advanced intermediate and higher players. Easy to read, with very good examples. I guarantee an aspiring player will get his money's worth, particularly if his frequent partners also read it.

Mike Lawrence is the Maestro! No one articulates in writing the winning strategies for competitive bidding like Mr. Lawrence.
This book features ruminations by Lawrence on assorted bridge topics. Not his best book, but it is a good one.
